Best Golf Swing Tips: Keep Constant Eye Contact With Your Ball

golf swing instructionsOne of the best golf swing tips is to maintain constant eye contact with your ball from the beginning of your swing until your club face strikes your ball.

This means one of the best golf swing tips is to keep eye contact with your ball through impact.

You often hear Professional golfers speak of staying on top of the ball. This is a confusing concept for recreational and weekend golfers.

What does “staying on top of the ball” mean?

It is just another description of keeping your eye on your ball throughout your swing. It probably is some terminology thought of by some instructor to charge higher instructional fees.

It is just another way of coaching a student to keep a steady head during the swing.

However,  instructing golfers to keep a steady head throughout the golf swing does not seem to be in vogue with most coaches nowadays, although such legendary golfers as Palmer and Nicklaus had no problem with it.

Although I subscribe to the notion that you must keep a steady head during the golf swing but, not a still or rigid head position, it is difficult for golfers to do so without a better “swing thought.”

I believe a better “swing thought” than that of staying on top of the ball or keeping a steady head during the golf swing is to maintain constant eye contact with the ball from the beginning of the swing until the club face makes contact with the ball at impact.

Assuming you have established a square alignment and an on line swing path of your club face with it centered as near as possible to the back of your ball and then, keep your left foot planted firmly and maintain eye contact with your ball through impact, you will hit straight golf shots.

You also will understand why maintaining eye contact with your ball through impact remains one of the best golf swing tips.

Tips For Golf Swing: Keep Your Left Arm Relatively Straight But Not Rigid

best golf swing instructionsOn of the most meaningful tips for golf swing is to keep your left arm relatively straight during your golf swing.

However, this tip for golf swing is not to suggest you should keep your left arm rigid in such instance.

There has been some controversy about whether keeping the left arm straight during the golf swing is an advantage or a disadvantage.

Since most golfers want to hit the best golf shots possible, the pros and cons of keeping the left arm straight during the golf swing is worth some analysis.

A recent article suggests the best golf swing instructions on the subject would be to maintain a straight left arm during the golf swing but not a rigid one.

Here is a part of the article:

“One of golf’s most popular tips is to keep your left (front) arm straight.

While there are some advantages to keeping your left arm straight, it often leads to the lead arm being too rigid and dominating the swing.”

Read more…http://www.sanmarcosrecord.com/sports/x1561301732/One-tip-to-a-better-easier-swing.

In my view, the article is spot on.

When I first began to play golf, instructors insisted on keeping the left arm absolutely straight during the golf swing.

Many contended that in order to hit a straight golf ball, you needed to keep a straight left arm during both the back swing and downswing.

Sometimes, when golf students process such golf swing tips, they have a tendency to carry the instructions to the exteme and so did I in this case.

Instead of keeping a relatively straight left arm during my golf swing in those earlier years of learning the game, I not only kept my left arm straight, I actually was locking the elbow joint.

As a result of overly concentrating on my left arm and attempting to keep it as straight as possible, my tempo, rhythm and balance went south.

It actually robbed me of distance and accuracy.

Nowadays, I do not concentrate on my left arm at all during my golf swing.

I know if I lock-in a square alignment and an online swing path of my club face during my set up proceedings, assume a comfortable stance and posture to my ball, align mmy shoulders parallel with my target line, keep my left heel planted and swing until my left shoulder is firmly touching or, is under, my chin during my back swing, I will hit my golf ball straight and far.

I now know this will happen whether my left arm is completely straight or relatively straight.

Therefore, the best tips for golf swing is to ensure your set up is correct, keep your left heel planted and swing your club until your left shoulder firmly touches or, is under, your chin. If so,  you will have no need to worry about a left straight arm.

Golf Swing Tips:The Muscle Memory Approach To Golf Is Flawed

how to hit a golf ball straightOne of the most important golf swing tips is not to rely on the muscle memory approach to improve your golf swing.

The reason why the muscle memory approach is one of the worst golf swing tips imaginable is that it is based on a flawed premise.

The muscle memory golf  method erroneously assumes a golfer will have rotated his or her club face alignment as well as the swing path of the club face to establish an identical ball flight alignmnet with each golf shot.

However, rarely does a high handicap golfer rotate his or her club face to the same alignment in each set up proceeding.

Likewise, rarely do even  lower handicap players rotate their club face to the same alignment and swing path in each set up proceeding if they habitually unlock their lifeline/thumb connection while addressing the ball.

Yet, I continue to hear and read about the significance of the body memorizing how the swing should be executed, just like  in a portion of a recent article:

“To get that perfect golf swing motion memorized through your body there are plenty of things you must carry out before you take each shot. Each specialist has his or her own method of doing this, but there’s also an approach which can definitely be used by new players also, and we’re gonna be providing information about how to achieve this. Read more…http://www.writers4net.com/finance/fundraising/one-can-by-no-means-practice-a-lot-to-get-the-perfect-golf-swing-technique/.”

What memory muscle instructors don’t understand about golf is that once the grip is completed, any body movement thereafter will rotate the alignment  and swing path of the club face to a different and unknown ball flight alignment.

Considering there are several movements of the body from the time the grip is completed until the final address to the ball and, assume the ball flight alignment is different from the previous set up proceeding, if the body remembered to swing yhe club in the same exact manner as before, the ball would fly in a different direction and pattern.

Thus, the muscle memory golf method is flawed and unreliable, the very reason that those who depend on it rarely improve their golf game, irrespective of the numbers of instructors who may try to teach them.

The only true way to hit consistent golf shots is to rotate the club face to a desired alignment and swing path of the club face during the set up proceedings and then, lock-in the desired ball flight  alignment.

If then the remaining steps of the set up proceedings are met, all remaining would be to keep the left heel planted, maintain a head steady and execute a simple golf swing. In turn, the ball will fly precisely as intended without any reliance on so-called muscle memory.

You can find out more information about how to lock-in a desired ball flight alignment by visiting http://lockedingolf.com.

Golf Swing Tips: Swinging Your club With Only One Hand Is Not Predictable Of Ball Flight

tips on golf swing instructionsOne of the more significant golf swing tips is to understand that a golf ball will not fly in the same direction and pattern when swinging with only one hand on the club as when swinging with both hands  on a club.

These golf swing tips about swinging your club with only one hand to attempt to simulate a swing with both hands will help you avoid some flawed golf swing instruction.

You sometimes will see golfers at a practice range hitting balls with only their left hand gripped on the golf club, if right-handed, or with only their right hand gripped on the club if left-handed.

You may have seen John Daly or some other professional hitting golf balls with only one hand gripped on the club handle.

Practicing your golf swing by hitting balls with only one hand on your club, whether trying to hit a fade, trying to hit a draw or, trying to hit the golf ball straight, will not foretell how the ball will fly when hitting the ball with both hands gripped on the club.

The reason why is what I refer to as the “clubface rotational effect.”

The clubface will rotate differently to any body movement  as well as when the clubface is swung to the inside or to the outside of its established swing path when  the club is swung with only one hand gripped on the club in comparison with  both hands gripped on the club.

Therefore, when you swing your club with only one hand and hit a fade, do not expect the same ball flight when you then grip both hands on your club and swing precisely the same precise way.

Likewise, when you swing your club with only one hand and hit a draw, do not expect the same ball flight when you then grip both hands on your club and swing the same exact way.

Practicing your swing with only one hand on your club may help improve your balance and tempo but it will not improve your consistency in terms of ball flight.

In terms of improving your golf swing, one of the best golf swing tips is to practice with both hands on your golf club instead of with only one.

Tips On Golf Swing: Don’t Cheat When Determining True Maximum Distance Of Your Clubs

tips on golf swingOne of the best tips on golf swing when attempting to determine the average distance of each club in your set you is to measure to spot where your ball lands instead of to where it rolls.

More specifically, the best tips on golf swing is to measure the distance your ball lands with each club while practicing at sea level on flat terrain and, with no wind.

These golf swing instructions should provide you with the most accurate feedback and data in determining the truly average yardage of each club in your set.

In turn, you should be able to improve your golf game and lower your golf scores.

Many golfers seemingly get caught up in “macho golf” so they can have some bragging rights about how far they can hit their clubs.

As a result, they have a tendency to calculate the maximum distance of each club in terms of how far the ball rolls instead of to the spot the ball lands.

This is neither a recipe to hit straight golf shotsor to hit them to an accurate distance when in actual play.

The better golf method is take shorter clubs on holes you know your ball is going to roll farther than normal such as on downhill fairways or to downhill greens or, when playing in very dry conditions.

Considering we rarely hit our golf shots too far, if we use the “roll of the ball” to measure the truly average distance of each club we obviously are going to come up short when there is no roll of the ball, such as in wet conditions.

When you learn to play your golf shots to the landing distance rather than to the rolling distance with each club your game should improve noticeably and your handicap should plummet.

You also should consider the above information as one of he best tips on golf swing, ever.

Perfect Golf Swing: A Perfect Golf Swing Is Possible

perfect golf swingThe typical golf instructor will tell you there is no such thing as a perfect golf swing.

As a result, most teach what is referred to as muscle memory in an attempt to try to square the clubface to the ball at impact, realizing from their own perspective and experience that it will never be perfectly squared or produce a perfect golf swing.

A  recent golf magazine article insisted there is no perfect golf swing; meaning to insist there is no way to hit a golf ball perfectly straight.

How wrong they are.

The reason why many golf swing instructions exclaim it is impossible to square the clubface to the ball precisely at impact and produce a pure golf shot is that they do not know how to lock-in an ideal golf swing during the pre-swing proceedings to assure the clubface will return perfectly square to the ball at impact to produce straight golf shots.

As you may already know, after more than ten years of research and thousands of experiments, I have designed, developed and perfected more than 100 techniques to lock-in a square clubface alignment and an online swing path of the clubface during the pre-swing procedure to establish a perfectlystraight ball flight alignment.

However, establishing and locking-in a straight ball flight alignment during the setup routine  does not by itself ensure a perfect golf  swing.

It merely starts the process.

You must then center the sweet spot of your clubface as near to the back of your ball as possible without moving your ball,  assume a comfortable posture and stance to the ball and align your shoulders parallel with your target line to complete the set up phase of the golf swing.

Then keep your head steady and execute a perfect golf swing.

In turn, your clubface will contact your ball squarely at impact on a path that matches your target line . Your ball will fly directly to your target.

Beginners Golf Lessons:The Knuckles Theory Is Bogus

how do you drive the golf ball straightOne of the beginners golf lessons is to understand that the ability to observe so many knuckles on your front hand from your line of vision as indicative of a square alignment of the club face, is malarkey.

The more specific beginners golf lesson is to appreciate that, when one instructor insists you should be able to see so many knuckles on your left hand at the completion of your grip while another instructor suggests more or less of such knuckles, at least one of them is wrong.

However, as a matter of fact, both golf swing instructions are fallacious because the numbers of knuckles that are visible on your front hand at the completion of your grip is not a valid gauge as to whether you have established a square club face to enable you to hit straight golf shots.

Many golf instructors, including several of the so-called top 100, insist  you should  only  be able to observe  a specific number of knuckles or, fractions thereof, on your lead hand after gripping your club in order to have a  perfect golf  grip.

Contrary to such golf swing tips, it doesn’t matter how many knuckles you are able to observe on your lead hand at the completion of your grip.

Irrespective of the number, you will not achieve a perfect golf grip in order to hit your golf ball straight.

Here is why:

If you assume either an overlapping, interlocking or baseball (ten-finger) style of grip, the very moment your grip is completed your wrists will rotate your clubface to an effective open alignment irrespective of how it may appear to be aligned.

In addition, the instant you form a conventional style of grip on your club, your elbows (elbow line) will rotate to the inside of your shoulder line and create an out-to-in swing path of your clubface.

Anyone who has studied the mechanic s of golf understands that an open clubface on an out-to-in swing path at impact with the ball will produce a slice golf shot if there is sufficient club head speed.

As  a result of this anatomical phenomenon of establishing a slice ball flight alignment  the instant either an overlapping, interlocking or baseball (ten-fingers) type of golf grip is formed on a club it makes no difference whether you observe one, two, three or four knuckles on your lead hand at the completion of your grip.

You nevertheless will have created a slice alignment.

The fact some instructors teach you  that you should observe  only one knuckle on your lead hand at the completion of your grip while others instruct you should observe two, and  even others insist three or four knuckles, goes to prove the knuckles theory is totally bogus.

If the number of knuckles that are visible on the lead hand had any relevance in creating a perfect golf grip, all instructors would be teaching  the same number of knuckles should  be visible instead of different number of knuckles.

The only true beginners golf lessons to achieve a perfect  grip is to lock-in a square clubface alignment and an on line swing path of your clubface once a club is gripped and at that point and, only at that point, will you have a perfect grip.

Golf Swing Tips: How Ball Flights Are Related

how to hit straighter golf shotsOne of the best golf swing tips is that your club face cycles through various ball flight alignments in response to different body movements such as widening or narrowing your stance after gripping your hands on your club.

This is a golf swing tip about which few instructors and golfers are aware.

Indeed, it is almost impossible to know to which golf ball flightalignment your clubface has rotated during either your setup routine or golf swing.

If you wish to improve your golf swing you should come to understand how ball flight alignments change in response to various movements of the body after gripping the club.

At the very instant you  hands are gripped on a club handle with either a conventional overlapping, interlocking or baseball style of grip  your clubface will rotate to an effective open alignment and an out-to-in swing path. This constitutes a sliced ball flight alignment.

This slice ball flight alignment is in the middle of the ball flight alignment spectrum.

Should you desire to hit straight golf shots, it would be necessary to rotate this slice ball flight alignment to a straight ball flight alignment.

On the other hand, if you were  to narrow your stance slightly while in this slice alignment, the swing path of the club face would remain on and out-to-in path but would rotate to a closed alignment and create a pull ball flight alignment.

This means a slice alignment is only a fraction of a degree of club face rotation  away from a pull alignment once a conventional style of grip is assumed.significant tips on golf swing

However, were you to assume a conventional grip and then widen your stance slightly wile in this slice alignmnet, your clubf ace would rotate  to a closed alignment and the  path of your clubface would rotate to an in-to-out  path, creating a hook ball flight alignment. This means there is more clubface rotation required to change a slice alignment to a hook alignment than to change a slice alignment to a pull alignment.

When the stance is widened even more after the clubface rotates to a hook ball flight alignment the alignment of the clubface will rotate from a closed position to an open position but the path of the clubface will remain on an in-to-out path, creating a push ball flight alignment.

This means even more rotation of the clubface is requirred to change a slice alighnment to a push alignment than to change a slice alignment to a pull alignment.

Unknown to most instructors alike, the alignment and the swing path of the clubface will rotate with each body movement once a conventional overlapping, interlocking or baseball style of grip is formed on a golf club.

Since there are no reference guides to indicate to which alignment and swing path the clubface has rotated, golfers do not have a clue as to whether they will hit a slice, hook, push or pull type of golf shot. One thing for sure, they are not likely to hit the golf ball straight to the target.

The only  assured golf method to hit a straight golf shot to the target is to lock-in a square alignment and an online swing path of the clubface during the setup routine.

Then center the sweet spot of the clubface directly behind the ball, align the shoulders parallel with the target line, raise and lower the shoulders slightly and then execute a simple golf swing.

Your ball will fly straight to your target, one golf shot after another, and you will experience the best golf swing tip of all.

How to Drive Your Golf Ball Straight: Learn To Perform The Groundbreaking Golf Technique™

golf swing instructionOne of the best ways to learn how to drive your golf ball straight is to perform the Groundbreaking Golf Technique™.

The reason why learning to perform this technique is one of the best ways to learn how to drive your golf ball straight is that the technique has very few steps to complete.

It is a simple golf method to produce straight golf shots.

The Groundbreaking Golf Technique™ is easy to perform.

It is among the more than 100 techniques I have designed, developed and perfected to lock-in a square club face alignment and an online swing path of the clubface to establish and lock-in a straight ball flight alignment during the preshot routine.

This golf method definitely will improve your golf game.

Here are the golf swing instructions to perform this technique.

The first step is to widen your stance and then sole your clubface to the outside of your right foot.

While the sole of your clubface remains to the outside of your right foot,  grip your left hand on your club handle in a conventional (diagonal) manner.

Next, move the clubface to the middle of your stance with your left hand.

Keep your club handle gripped with your left hand and then grip your right hand on your club handle with either an overlapping, interlocking or baseball style of grip.

At this point you have locked-in a square club face alignment and an online swing path of your clubface.

All that remains is to center the sweet spot of your club face as near to the back of your golf ball as possible without moving your ball in the process and align your shoulders parallel with your target line.

Lastly, keep a steady head and  execute a simple golf swing.

Your ball should fly on a straight path to your target, discounting wind conditions and any elevation differences  between your stance and your golf ball.

You will then know how to drive your golf ball straight.
